Anita Farrington Associate Dean of Student Affairs, NYU Tandon School of Engineering
Anita Farrington is an experienced senior student affairs administrator who has had a professional career spanning over 30 years at New York University. She has served as Associate Dean of Student Affairs at NYU Tandon for the past four years expanding services and resources in student activities, athletics, career services, international student services, housing and residential life, accommodations for students with disabilities judicial affairs and graduate student services. She has had a leadership role in the merger of NYU-Poly with NYU. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Dean for Freshmen at the College of Arts and Science for 13 years and responsible for freshmen retention, student affairs and all program development and assessment; she directed convocation, parent orientation, and the Freshman Dialogue Program.
Anita began her career in 1981 at the NYU Stern School of Business and for several years served on the MBA admissions committee and was Director of MBA Academic Advisement. She was also Director of Diversity Admissions and is particularly proud of the large number of graduate students of color who she recruited who are now senior corporate executives and CEOs of their of their companies.
